after you flesh fish say a trout and you want to use a fish tan on it. should you degrease it before you tan it or tan before degrease it.

Degrease then Tan. Also, I prefer to rinse my fish in Dawn after degreasing, then cold water before the Tan. Then after tanning (den alc/water) I soak the skin in cold water to relax it about an hour prior to mounting...
