I recentlly lost two salt water eels after having them in the family for almost 15 years. I'm trying to find some one who could help me make them into a belt. I've had no luck finding anyone who would help me in any aspect of this process. If anyone can help me I would really appriciate it Thank you for your time.

That said I would think eels can be skinned like snakes. Probably once the skin is inverted it can be peeled off and scraped. Then tanned if there is such a thing.
I,ve seen salt water eel garments made by these ethnic groups in south Philadelphia. They prize eels as a delicacy and their wares are sold at times at the 9th street Italian market.
traditional eelskin is really from hagfish, not true eels.
