I have a Northern to get mounted and have never gotten anything mounted before. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good taxidermist in the Hillman, MN (Mille Lacs Lake) area. Also, what can I expect to pay per inch (average)for a Northern.

Good luck, Pat. Most of the mounted northerns I have seen look as if the taxidermist has stretched a pike skin over a zucchini. Be very selective about who you leave your fish with. Look for someone who actually knows fish anatomy. Good luck in your search.
I have sent several Northerns to them. They do an excellent job and are quite reasonable. They ship them back like they are going to Iraq!

I got the bass head, that thing is going to help me out more then a photo ever would. I may order another for the fish I going to mount, if i decide to use it instead of the real head. Thanks
No joey you can't use the J until you mount a fish for Mr. Bill Dance Or Jimmie Houston. lol. I did look at your crappie and could offer some suggestions but just too much to discuss through typed word -- if you are interested give me a ring. Glad you liked the bass head as I said it could have been better if it wasn't frozen before molding.
