This is a great place to start.It will instruct you on the basics of making a plaster mold and casting in fiberglass.(when it calls for "whiting" to use as a thickener for the resin, use "cab-o-sil" instead.)(and for your first resin layer, mix it with some Bondo to make a "Gel-Coat".) Most Fisherman probably have this book kicking around the house somewhere.

This book covers it all. Breakthrough was selling it for awhile. I believe it is out of print. I have a copy you can have for $10. to cover postage and my time to pack it up.
