I am ready to get serious about fish taxidermy. I live 5 minutes from Lake Erie and am ready to start mounting fish. Especially walleye. Does anyone have some suggestions on a good video. I'm not a beginner and have mounted several fish that turned out better than most shops around but I still would like to get better and faster at fish. I feel that you can always improve if you have the desire.

If you are only going to do fish , Take a Fish class. You will learn alot more at first. Then you can order some videos for references. Reinhart has a good one. Good Luck Mark
on walleye from start to finish. If you order the mannikin as per my instructions you can have it done in two weekends from start to finish. First weekend we skin the walleye, preserve it and mount it. The next weekend we do the finish work and paint it. I'm located in northeastern Indiana probably no more than 2 1/2 hours from you.
However, I don't do workshops anymore until my slow time of year in the fall, winter, and early spring. Email me if you want more information. Price includes room and board.
I'd do one of my customer walleyes while you're working on yours beside me. Hands on only. Otherwise you won't learn as much.
I will consider that Cecil. What level would you consider yourself? better yet, call me at 440-315-5264. I have done gamehesds, mammals, small and large , and some birds for 15 years. Just want to get really good at Walleye because of my location. I have turned down most fish but have a good friend who runs charter service now and can get me lots of work if I want it. I just want to make sure that my walleye look great and want to be able to get them done quickly, I've talked to some guys that can do 3-5 fish a day. Thanks, Todd
When I competed I consistently took a blue ribbon in fish in the masters category of our state association. (Took a break from competing for a couple of years). I've been doing this for 24 years. I specialize in fish. I probably do about 30 Lake Erie Walleyes a year.
3 to 5 fish a day? I sometimes mount twice that many in a day.
Call me if you're interested. But like I said fall, winter, and early spring only.
