Just like the fact that everybody states they are a Federal and State licensened taxidermist. WOW ! they must be good.!
Public thinks since you get a license you know what your doing.
Who knows they may have Won first place, novice division, for something else besides fish and who knows what year, things have changed a lot, people winning 10 years ago wouldn't now. Maybe he got lucky with another mount, even like a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while.
I've seen some real trash sold by award winning taxidermists on Ebay
It's Just another day in the neighborhood...
a LM head on a SM body.
PB
maybe he put on a World Championship in his basement and he was the only competitor? Or maybe it was another world? LOL
I can honestly say those fish would have a hard time getting a first place ribbon in an amateur division at a state show. What a liar. They have problems in all areas, anatomy, painting, everything.
People who lie make me want to puke. Once they lie to me once I lose all respect for them. We have a few of them on here.
I thoughtI was looking at bowfin at first with the smallmouth.
Ya'll are just upset because he is selling reproductions of you in his other items without asking first.LOL
I think I need to find out you this world champion and winner of every fish award possible is. Acording to location he is only about 30 mins from me. And to think I drove all the way to Cecils to learn something when I had a WC in my back yard.
What is the fish he has below the walleye?
? You have to really blow up the pic to tell.
one person did the walleye and small bass, and a different person did the "smallmouth" and bluegill. The 2 on the right have open mouth, very little shrinkage re-built, awful paint jobs, and look kind of dull.
The 2 on the left look totally different, not good but different.
Cecil is right, what world?
If you take a close look at the mounts you can see that they are old. Grease leaking in the throat area of the walleye is obvious and that takes time. These "probably" aren't the blue ribbon winning fish. He doesn't state that they are. And he doesn't state what catagory he won in or when he won it. Taxidermist do improve and win awards when they do. I don't blame him for trying to get something out of his old mounts. It may be a bit deceptive in what it doesn't say, but it's advertizing and promotion.
When taxidermists state they are State and Federally licenced in their advertising, it is not to project that their work is of any specific quality, it is to convey that they are "legally" licenced to accept the game animals and federally protected birds! This sets them apart from the illegal, unlicenced taxidermist who could get the clients specimen confiscated. Hope this clarifies the issue for you.
but there are some that say it for the former reason and the customer does not know any better.
No where does it say he won anything with this mount. He just said he was a world class winner. And if you really want to know if he is... all you have to do is ask the seller a question and ask him for his name and look it up.
The bass is to funny to look at lg bass head sm body I think he was smokein some hippy grass and to much . He my have got first in the crap class and he needs to re think trying to do taxidermy. I guess thats why he is retireing that crap is what gives taxidermy a bad name.
in my advertisement which is true, as I am through state and IGT. To me licensed has no meaning as no criteria has to be met other than having $15. I see no negatives in using a title you have earned to your advantage. I would not think that anyone holding a world title would embarrass themselves with the work seen, retiring or not. My 2 cents...
