Just got back a perch and I must say that if a customer isn't happy with his work they will never be happy with anyones! For those of you leary about sending out fish to get done don't think twice about sending them to him. It actually took less than 30 days from the time I sent it till it was hanging on driftwood ready to get picked up. Thanks again Cecil, and we will be doing business again.

you know what happens here if someone posts a pic of a mount. It could be live and it will still be critcized as a bad mount.
Gene if you're really serious you need to use a live fish for reference.

Ah yes, I have a bunch of reference already, however, in seeing some of Cecil's work already, I know it is top quality and I always am looking for good reference. I understand I also need live reference but seeing work of some of the good taxidermists is also good reference. Otherwise I wouldn't be taking anymore classes and going to World Shows to sit in on all the seminars by the top guns from both the Fish Carving and the Taxidermist arenas.

It was spectacular! I never claimed to be an english major, or even understand half of it. Like embellishing, isn't that what happens when you eat to much? Hey I would like to chat but I gotta go wash my Jeep.

I was running out of those fifty centers and was starting to look for the dictionary for more. If you would like to see the perch go catch one 13" long, thats what it looks like. Have a good day.
I hardly think you can be a critic of fish do you? I'm not a big game taxidermist so I wouldn't even pretend to questions someone's big game work. And how you can question something you've never seen is beyond me also.
I know it's hard with a big ego to let praise on someone's work slide by with out a cutdown, but you really should stop shooting your mouth off. If you really knew how you look you'd be embarrassed.
If somebody came on here an said one of my cats was awesome I think it would be well within your rights to challenge the use of the word.I know what an awesome fish looks like.The fact that you even had to drag this on leads me to believe you think the perch was awesome.For crying out loud I gave you "spectacular".I don't think it would be wise of you to want to compare work.Let it go.

Maybe I get a little carried away cease,can I call you cease? I won't harass you any more, you don't take it very well, I can tell. Perhaps someday you will get rid of that "mammalguy" chip you carry around and we can be civil.

And furthermore I don't have a chip on my shoulders against mammal taxidermists as have a lot of respect for ALL taxidermist that do good work.
Additonally since mammals are not my forte I would never go into the mammal category and say what you said. If I did I'd be a fool.

way too much free time on your hands Dr. if all you want to do is sit on your computer and argue all day. You should put some of that energy into your work.
I shouldnt stick my nose in this for i am a beginner,..but when a customer gives you a compliment like AWESOME we should tip our hats to the guy who did the work,...not criticize,!
