Although it is proven over and over, it is the customers who bug the sh*@ out of you to get their mount done will not pick it up when it is. Luckily I have 50% down. This did not stop him from going over the 30 day from completion pickup agreement he signed. I know everone has this happen, just had to vent.

If they call more than once before I finish the mount, I can guarantee that once it's done and they've been notified, it will sit in the shop for at least a month.

that these people are impulsive. They're so impulsive they've spent their money when you get it done. Hence why you have to wait on them.

I have a good friend in southern Ohio who is a taxidermist and it got so bad that at one time he had 27 finished deer heads ready to be picked up and the customers would not come and pick up/pay. He finally said screw it and quit taking in deer! He was doing over 100 a year. He still does other stuff and wants to do wholesale turkeys just because he thinks it might be better to deal with other taxidermists rather than customers. Thats one of my biggest fears of ever going full-time.

I hear you on that one, Todd

Part time works best for me too. My hat is off to all the guys who are full time and make it work. I am more comfortable KNOWING I have one paycheck I can depend on.
