There is a list of all of the species right in the catolog.
I see them but I want to find something that I can download so I don't have to go through ordering and waitng for it to get here.
If you'd ordered it last month, you'd already have it.
If you're going to do fish, be wise and invest in a book that will help you continually. While you're ordering, order "Real Fish" by Ron Reynolds as well.
Yeah I know. I don't know what I was thinking. I ordered all the paints but forgot about the books. You say realfish is the best book to invest in?
Research Mannikins.com has free downloads.
I have a personal preference in the Breakthrough Manuals. They are much more detail and are written with the skin mount in mind. Ron Reynolds REALFISH is for reproductions mostly, but does have a few species specific schedules that are nice to have on hand. You need both.
www.lonestartaxidermy.com has some on their website, just look under paint schedules and copy and paste all of them you want.
The paint schedules are good and will get you started. I personally have the Ron Reynolds one and enough single card ones from WASCO to start a bonfire. But while the schedules will get you in the ballpark, it's REALLY good, detailed reference photos of live fish that will show you what seat you're in. Whether magazines, actual reference photos, googled images on line... whatever the case may be... having a large stock of images to study lets you really consider how things should look when they go together.
Good luck with whatever you are painting! It's certainly a cool feeling when it does all come together. Take care.
