Tom Sexton's "Fishworks" forms. Most others are good enough too. Of course, the key is getting the form than matches the size of your bass...eh? My only gripe on ALL commercial bass forms is that they are made so that the front end is just for a fish with a MAXIMUM GAPING mouth. This holds true for almost all commercial forms for all other species too. I've had to alter more than a few commercial forms so that I can get the "1/2 open" look I want for the mouth. Good luck.

Most Customers want full flare

If I did a hal-open mouth for a customer, I'd be run out of the fish business. They always request full open mouth, fully flared gills, and fully spread fins, though it is rarely (if ever) seen in a live fish.

If I use a commercial form I always look at Tom's fishworks first, then MT. However, the most accurate for me, and cheapest, is for me to carve one myself.

on what will look best. It is your job to inform them so that your work looks natural and pleasing. If I did exactly as my un-informed customers wanted, I would not be where I am today.
