Need help with lice eggs on boar hair!

Submitted by John Ramos on 7/20/00. ( ramos@woodland.net ) 208.47.217.19

I am doing a boar head mount for a customer and the hair is full of lice eggs. They seem to be naturally glued on the hair shafts and are
extremely difficult to remove. Any suggestions?

i mount wild boar.(300-350 a year) and the best way to get rid of the lice eggs is to soak the hide in gasoline for 20-30 minutes then wash with a hi-pressure hose!good luck. if you need some fleshing advise on hides with thick shoulder pads contact me at 931-879-6340or email me!
