Softening Apoxie Clay

Submitted by Dan on 7/26/00. ( ) 204.203.52.216

I have a "rock" of clay left. My order hasn't come in yet. Can anyone tell me how to soften the clay so I can work it. I'm not sure if it's the A or B component but the other is plenty soft. Thanks.

All you have to do is place the epoxie in a sealed plastic bag and float it in a bucket of hot tap water for 15-30 minutes, it will get soft as new.

Try the microwave

I do not know for sure but if it is like Magic Sculp I nuked it for about 20 seconds
and it worked.

Softening epoxies

Softening epoxy components by various means of heating usually works. Just make sure you allow them to return to room temperature before mixing, or they will set up very fast!

Thanks!
