Have good reference for finish work on a boar....
except for chest...What color do I mist down
there or do I dye?
Thanks all!
The razor back you are working on should have had a base skin pigmentation. Many are a gray/pink/white or dirty flesh tone that is on the pale side of the spectrum. True Russians, or Eurasian wild boar are covered with short fur and have a curly undercoat that hides the bare skin. You may dye or mist the bare skin with a darker tone that blends with the bristle coloring, or you can replace the natural color.......I have seen everything from pinks to black....Don't know of any rule. Is it tanned or DP'd? I have left the DP capes the color they dry to, or have touched them with the natural skin color. Another may have a different call to make. I have a good jpeg of one I did, Al, email me and I will send it to ya!....good luck
It's alum tanned... so I didnt know if it got the yellowish
tinge from the tan or if it was natural flesh color.... emailing for jpeg..
your awesome..thanks

Not a true Russian....hair is scarce on the chest...bark black
