When you mount the deer make sure that the form is not tight or you have no hope. With a properly slightly loose fitting form just back comb the hair with a wire brush and it should stand up nicely. BUT be verry careful not to have a hidden wrinkle somewhere because as it dries the hair will start to bunch up and will only get worse as the mount dries. I have done a few like this but have never had one come out 100%, This is not to say they do not look good but all would have been better if mounted with the hair down.
