Mike,

Elmers glue is manufactured by Bordens which is a trade name for a number of glues. Glue types like school glues used by kids, white glue, to water resistant carpenters glue, and paste glues. I don't know what you consider a "normal glue", all glues and adhesives are designed to serve a certain band of applications. Within those applications the glue would be normal to that use. There are lots of types of glues all "normal" like water based, resin glues, hot melt, hide glue, epoxies, contact cements, and more. The best thing is to define what you want to do, then find an adhesive or glue that suites the application.

I could not pass this one up. Seeing how I have lived with it all my life there is not a school kid or adult that has not used Elmers glue.
Are you blonde by chance. LOL

Maybe in bad taste but. . .

Maybe Mike was the kind of kid that preferred the taste of paste instead of the usual tipping the old Elmers bottle at art class.Mike if you don't know what Elmers glue is ,go hang out at the local preschool and see what the kids create to bring home to mom and dad.I can't keep it away from my kids .

Mr Howard?

Elmer's glue

What is elmers glue made of? I just helped my son with a science
project where we made silly puddy out of a solution of Borax & elmers glue. It was easy to find out what borax is but it'e been a harder
nut to crack finding out what elmers glue is made of. The original
silly puddy was discovered by a scientist working in 1943 trying to
create a substitute for rubber. He mixed boric acid & silicon oil &
came up with silly puddy. I've heard that elmers glue is made of horse hooves & such but is that true?
