Hello, I follow the directions as outlined on several glues including epoxy types and I still can't get the glue to stick the hide to the forms. I've roughed up the form with sand paper, wiped down with solvent to remove mold release wax and so on. My current proceedure is to rehydrate the cape in water, sweat it then mount. Am I missing something?

Bill, just a thought ,how wet is youre skin when you start mounting? If youre hide is too wet you could be running all youre glue out before it has chance to grab hold of the skin, another possibility could be using too big of a form, so youre skin is way too tight before it actually starts to dry causing drumming. I would almost be willing to bet youre hide is too wet ,because the epoxy type glues really do a good job of securing the hide to the form.
