I currently have a shipment of trophies held up in Atalanta at USDA. There is a fully mounted warthog in the group and our shipper is saying that the delivery is being held up because of the pig. What does USDA have to do with an already mounted pig? Does my SA taxidermist need additional paperwork for this? How long could our shipment be delayed?

The pigs always hold up the shipments. They normally put them into quarantine when they get in to the U.S. Don't worry they will arrive!
The PH's never bother to tell American clients because they don't have any trouble getting them OUT of country and the booking agents don't tell them because some clients might elect NOT to include the species in their safari plains game bag. Caveat emptor
