I have mounted a couple open mouth animals, but the jaws have been pre-installed by the Manufacturer. I plan on doing a black bear that does not have the jaws pre-installed. I am using a Mohr jawset. Any hints on doing the installation that might head off any problems I might encounter? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Greg, After you've mounted your bear, and it's sufficiently dried to begin your finish work, try pre-tinting your sculpting epoxy with your paints to a fleshy tone. Using this for your interior mouth work will help make for less painting, creating a more realistic look, as well as reducing overspray on your jawset. If you also paint your teeth with a liquid latex and allow to dry before begining your airbrush work, you will eliminate the need to remove overspray afterwards. Good luck.
Van Dykes catalog they have some how to on installing a jawset. Hope it helps
