need someone to shed some light on a subject for me. i was reading through the Breakthrough whitail manual and in the back it said to put liqua-tan on the nose and ears after mounting. What purpose would that serve?

Slows the drying time so you can adjust as it dries.


On nose yes

but I would'n put liquid tan on the ears, paint would just bead off and theres no purpose for it there after its mounted, just an oily mess. On the nose will cause there to be less shrinkage and better color holdout...Paul
