usually the tanning process takes care of the smell. Pickling than washing and degreasing than tanning cleans and deorderizes the cape. I just completed a spanish goat, a bunch of corsican rams and a real smelly coyote useing Rittels ez 100, all turned out great, smells like the pro plus oil. In the archives there are many suggestions on other products for elimminate smells. For me its all in the cleaning of the capes that gets out the smell...Paul
