Garry im just a beginer but on the McKenzie web site they have a Intruction how to page and it shows some good pictures of removing the ear cartilage. I printed it out for referance. And on WASCO product demonstrations page it shows the whole cartilage after being reomed on the Accu liners page. Hope this helps you out.

All the way

After splitting the ears, I leave the cartilage connected to the inner ear and then tan. After tanning, I remove the cartilage all the way. By this, I mean that I have nothing but skin left, including the ear canal. Some people cut the ear canal out, thus aleviating removal of the cartilage in that area. The way that I do it is just my preference, though. I hope this helps. PatrickR
