wild boar question ?

Submitted by Chris on 01/13/2003. ( )

Why do most people install the jawsets before mounting a wild boar?
It seems to me that it will fit afterwards and would be easier to do
so.What am i missing here? I'm using a Noonkester form and jawset.
thanks for the help Chris

Things can go wrong doing it that way also.Noonie has a great way of doing them, call him and ask if them. I would say but am not sure if it's common knowledge or a "trade secret".

Mike doesn't have any "secrets". He routinely give seminars at the conventions and shares his insight with everyone. He's just a good a decent person helping the industry any way he can.

And Chris, you put the mouthsets in FIRST so that you can finish the epoxy interior work before the hair gets on. This allows you to get as messy as necessary without cleaning up the hair. You also need a lip slot on top of the finished work so that you can tuck the skin. Once tucked and dried, colored Apoxie will fill and texture for final painting. BTW, the tongue is the LAST thing you install on an open mouth mount.
