Has anyone out their use spray foam insulation instead of mache
to fill in around the scull cap?

I have used a 2 part 3 or 4 lb. foam before. You would have to build a dam ( duct or masking tape )around the back and sides of the form to keep it from running out. Spray foam is not dense enough in my opinion. As it is now i still use Mache, it works, adhesives stick to it well and it comes off the antlers / horns easaly and it's cheap
This is a cheap and solid method for setting antlers, plus it allows you to easily make adjustments.
