Tanning Oil

After tanning and drying and rehydration and relaxing do I have to oil the deer cape to mount it?

Your hide should have been oiled after you tanned it but I don't know what tan you used for some of them don't require it. Need more info to help.

Frank I used Syn-oil tan

Garry, you don't need additional oil with this tanning agent for mounting purpose's.It's real similar to Liqua-Tan.
