I was wondering if it was to much work to put a doe cape on a buck form with antlers and if so how would it be possible.
Thanks

Gary,
Doe's face are much thinner than a buck and the hair pattern on the head is different ...the hair would stand up and not look right....
If you want a doe with antlers that is what you would end up with .I wouldnt suggest doing it.
Hope this helps and good luck,Jeff
It can be done but the truth of the matter you deer will look just like a doe with horns. Overall its a bad idea.
if you have a big doe cape that will fit over a small buck form, you can try it. cape the doe like it was a buck with the T, Y, or however you cut the hide. you still have to get the cape over the form. the hair patterns will not be the same but if it's a Dec. doe (Michigan) most people won't know. it won't look like a doe with antlers unless you mount it on a doe form. cut a V where the antlers come through the forehead. the bottom of the V is pointed to the back. good luck making it fit.
i shot a 7 year old doe this past deer season. i cut the hide and mounted a set of antlers on her. no one knew it was a doe until i told them. i had to show a few guys where i made the cut and fastened the antlers in place. it was a 10 point 150 B&C. laying in the bed of my pickup, it looked good. i have pictures. lol
