Has anyone heard of a "China Deer"

Had someone come in with what he called a China Deer from a game farm.Has the head the size of an elk,rack was only spikes.Relatively long hair but overall kinda goofy looking.Do you know who would carry a form for this beast. Checked the archs and found nothing.Im guessing by looking at the pics this thing weighed in around 300 lbs.Thanks John

It's probably a Chinese Water Deer. Search www.Google.com for some info. PatrickR

Most likely they are refering to the Pere David's deer, the Chinese Water deer is very small(25-30 lb).

Old Fart, I believe I stand corrected. I looked up the images on Google and see the Elk-like resemblance of the head. I'm not real familiar with either, though. PatrickR

Those were the key words in your discription. Pere Davids deer are the odd ball of the deer family. I think that Jonas has forms for them also.
