fleshing a boar first or salt

I'm trying my first boar, I just caped it, should I salt and dry or
flesh it. What the best way to flesh a boar?

Salt and put on tilted rack to drain, then next day, flesh and resalt and hang to dry. Will dry faster. This is ONLY if you are fleshing with a beam and knife.

first before you salt or salt will not penetrate to hide.


what about meat?

Is it ok if there is meat on the cape?

you need to flesh the cape before you salt. the salt WILL NOT penetrate through the shield.

Robs right..If you dont get the shield off 100lbs of salt wont penetrate it.
