I was preparing to mount a boar head yesterday and when I opened the containers (partA & B)I found the partA to be quite hard to the point I could not use it. The containers have been kept with their lids tightly closed for about 6 months. Is this stuff ruined or what Has anyone had this happen and what did you do? Thanks for your time.

Scrape enough out to use or heat the can

Microwave the scrapings or wait for the can to warm up. It will become liquified again. Just normal expoxy idiosyncracies.

If you're in a hurry

Steve told me once that you can also use some Xylene to thin the white part when it becomes hardened in the can.The last time you closed the cans ,they may not have been sealed tight enough and some of the necessary chemicals could have fumed out.I tried it once -works good ,I was able to spread the epoxy much thinner and get better detail .You will also get a couple more hours of working time with it.Work in a well ventilated room

I heated mine in the can with a torch but a heater will work

I had the same trouble, being laid up for six months, but have been using it since with good results.

Hey I tried Spray Tan, it worked but not with Water Based Epo-Grip.

thanks

Thanks for your responses guys. the room temp. where I store the epoxy is around 50-55 degrees. I will heat the stuff up and see how it works. Thanks again.
