Bacteriacide

I wrote to Lysol to see if they still use Phenol in there brown bottle and they wrote back.

The new Lysol Brand Concentrate is not registered with the EPA as a
"disinfectant", and is not effective against the TB germ. This is a new formula, containing a single phenolic based germicide.

Just wanted to let you people know what is up with Lysol.

careful where you drain phenols

Phenols are part of a group of chemicals known to affect the endocrine system in living animals. This leads to many mutations and cancers in the wild and right at home...look up endocrine disruptors on the web or through the US EPA and enjoy reading...just please do not discharge these into any system not designed to handle these sorts of chemicals (i.e., toxic chemicals)...municipal sewers and septic fields just won't do...once they get into biotic systems they just bio-magnify through the food chain and cause all kinds of messes!

Its a single phenol, now check the pH.

Yo will find the pH papers turn green meaning alkaline! any akaline above 6 is going to enhance slipping.

Carbolic acid i.e the phenol we can use is a acid, lower pH great bacteriacide.

Whn dumped can be neutralized with baking soda\
