Have any of you seen the whitetail head kit in the Van Dykes catalog?
Has anyone messed with it? I just wondered if it would be a good buy for me?
I have mounted a bird and next deer season if I get a buck I thought about
trying to mount it.

I mounted my first whitetail shoulder mount with a Van Dykes Kit. They will work well for your first mount, but also buy a good video and manual as well. The directions are not very detailed and make the steps sound easier/quicker. I am very pleased with the mount and think that any type of kit will help the beginner learn the basics.

My first deer mount was using the Van Dykes kit out of Cabelas. It came with a good video. I would recomend it for a beginner because it has everything you need in it.
