Anyone try the eye capsule system I see out now in Van Dykes looks like they will save time without having to build up the tissue around the eyes Any comments on how they work

Ozzy the eye capsules seem to work fine. Have used them on a few deer including on forms from otyher companies. The only thing that you will have to do different when using forms other than the Legacy Series is to use a 1 1/2" spade bit to enlarge the eye socket. I like to use apoxie sculpt to lock in the capsules and do a little extra pinning around the eyes. Hope that this helps you.
I have used them once. I don't care for them at all. You get only one pose, shrinkage is out of control. You get a much better looking eye using clay, because you can work the eyes as they dry to pose them to the piece your doing. Hope this has been helpfull. Nut
