I have been asked to sell some big game head trophys for a friend who recently lost her husband. He was a big game hunter and went on a couple of trips in 1967 and 1969. Has Giant Sable Antelope sholder mount taxidermied by Jonas Bro. and also an Eland. If the trophys were taken leagally 35 years ago can they be sold now? I asked Ebay and got a definate NO. How do I go about selling these?

Yes those are legal for sale.
Go ahead and list them on e-bay if you wish. They will sell or contact Lollie Bros in Macon Missouri. they hold and own a well established animal auction several times per year.
Just list the mounts as you would anything else, since these are not protected species there are not any restrictions.
As far as ebay is concerned, rules change from person to person, depending on who is sitting at what computer there. Ebay is based out of California, and avoids anything that even remotely can be construed as illegal in CA. This is why the bear, mountain lion, & California bighorn sheep auctions are always pulled.(You may see them on there for a day or so, but they do get closed.) Also, word is that the antis are getting into ebay.
