Just wondering

I use a lot of Powell forms and I often wonder what those little bars on the neck are for. It's not keeping me up nights, but I searched Powell in the archives and couldn't find anything about them.I just sand them out anyway as 99.5% of the heads I do are long haired and they wouldn't show. Anyone know?

HUm long haired? why sand them out?

Seems to me it would be a waste of time to sand them out. It takes a very short haired deer cape for the "Bars" to show.

Makes the hair stand up

Piper,

I would continue to sand them out. Seems with long haired capes any raised area causes the hair to "cowlick" and stand up. I sand down the facial areas as well with long haired deer!

Keep it up...you are doing the right thing!
