I think you're asking about the white-BEARDED wildebeest. Go to Google and type that in. It'll give you several sites to visit.
George, I believe the WHITE-BEARDED Gnu is of the same species as
the BLUE Wildebeest, except with a light colored beard. The WHITE TAILED Gnu is also called the "Black Wildebeest.Type each name in Google, click on Images, and you get two different Gnus. Maybe I am confused too.
I've never HEARD them called that but that's about like "gnu". I haven't heard that used in a long time either. Sorry. Did I mention I hate African stuff anyway. LOL
I went to Google and typed that in as well, and voila', there it was.
Thanks,George. I forgot to mention, in Africa, the locals call the Blue Wildebeest a "Brindled Gnu."
I remember as a kid there was that weekday morning TV show the great space coaster - and one of the characters was Gary Gnu. He was a newscaster - LOL! "NO Gnus - is GOOD Gnus - with GARY... Gnu...." I alwas wonderred what the heck kinda muppet that silly lookin thing was supposed to be. A wildebeest y'all say? awesome - one of my childhood questions laid to rest - thanks guys =)
