Deflesh and borax

With your tail, make sure you get all of the flesh out, then let it set in borax for 2-7 days, then shake the borax off and put bondo on the point where all the feathers meet. This will keep bugs out and help bond the feathers together so they do not fall apart.

For the wings, deflesh, you will have to cut down the humerus bone to remove all of the meat, then borax it.

For the spurs, make a jig, or something to hold the foot in place while it dries. I use a piece of wood, fishing line and tacks to secure the foot. Then use a product such as Epo-Grip injectable epoxy, or borax mixed in water, and inject. The borax water will evaporate leaving just the borax deposits to do the preserving.

This is what I did, it worked on all 4 turkeys that I had to mount this year. GOod Luck
