How to take care of buffalo horns?

This is the first buffalo that I am mounting and I was just wondering what the best way is to take care of the horns. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I don't know where you're coming from on this one. Do you have the cores removed from the horn cases? Once you do that, all you need is a little swish of DP inside to inhibit critters and then set aside until you're ready to mount.

I'm going to say most(knowing full well that there will be some somewhere that don't)forms come with the cores casted into the foam manikin. You can mount your animal without the cases on or not but they will need to be attached with GOOD epoxy so they don't disbond later.
