Has anyone seen the White-bearded Wildebeest on the cover of North American Taxidermy News in person? If so how good is it really? It seems to be collecting quite a list of ribbons and trophies! I was thinking about running some African peices out of my shop and wanted some input from someone that may have seen it in person.

I know, many already know that. But what are you asking? I know you're asking about this particular piece but then you state you're thinking of "running some African pieces out". Have you ever done African? Is that what you're considering? Any African piece that wins any award has to be a super piece.
I got to look at the piece for several hours this past weekend. I can truly say it is an unbelievable piece of art. It is the sweetest African piece I have seen since Chris Barnhart's and Ron Schafer's pieces. The competitors name is Brent Gorman. He is a member of the Oklahoma Taxidermists Association and resides in Muskogee, OK. If you want to contact him call (918)989-5465. The piece is for real. He scored a 96 at the OKTA convention. He won best master's gamehead, peoples choice, and a couple more I can't remember. Look at the OKTA website for a good picture and results. www.geocities.com/kennethbauman/OKTA.html
