I just read through 10 pages of "name tags" and I'm getting eye strain. I'm thinking of providing my customers with a name tag on their plaques, but I can't decide on the verb. Which do you prefer? Killed by..Harvested by...taken by...or shot/arrowed by?

Jerry C, You said you might provide name tags for yoour customers, I would recomend you "offer" name tags, for a fee. If you intend to make a profit you must charge for even the little things. Remember it takes time to order and apply the tag. Some won't even really like it and you start something like this and after 10 years you have spent a piece of money on name plates most people didn't want(about 1 in 10 of my customers buy one). If you offer name plates let the customer decide if he "killed" the critter or chooses to call killing something else. Whoever makes the plates for you will letter each one in a customized fashion so each customer can call it what he/she chooses. As for me, I kill that which I hunt and harvest vegetables in the garden. Enjoy, Aaron H.
Let the customer decide what they want and have then custom made. Just charge appropriately like Aaron said.

The consuming idea. If ya happen to need any help, Deer Jerky is my favorite.(LOL) Peace- Jeff
I suggest adding a small line across the bottom, with your business name. We include a plate with a panel, and across the bottom below the client's name, date, etc., in small print, it reads, "Mounted By Myers' Ark Taxidermy." You should be able to write off the expense as advertising... One of my pet peeves is a company that charges for a product that advertises them. Not only do they get the advertising, but you paid them for it! (Wal Mart caps & t-shirts are a good example.)
