i mounted an elk foot lamp and after 6 months the feet started smelling bad i want to save the lamp any ideas ?

Need more info on your process. If the feet are smelling, something was left in to rot. Did you skin the feet down into the hoof, and remove everything. What process did you use to tan the skin?
