I got in my first African shipment recently which included a cape buffalo, wildebeast, and impala. I was wondering the best way to get the horns off? I tried boiling them already for almost 5 hrs with no success. Also once I get them off is there some kind of potent liquid to keep the bugs out?

There fine, been boiled in africa. clean em up and mount them, wash with clorox and rinse, look at the shape, learn here, they won't come off, Maybe the Impala but the beest and cape NOT.....By the way you shouldn't have any bugs now if you do, contact the USDA Import station that accepted them.
