My son grabbed on of the deer skulls I was cleaning (European Mount) and broke the fine bone in the eye socket. Can anyone tell me the best method for repairing/recreating this bone area? I am sure this is not that uncommon as this bone inside the eye socket is very thin and fragile.

The best method is the one that works for you. Best method is nothing more than an opinion. I would super glue it back and using apoxie sculpt of Epo-Grip seam putty work the area to look natural. Texture with a artist paint brush to look like the real bone, you may have to paint the skull with bone lacquer to blend it in.
