Has anyone tried a short Y cut on a elk. I got one that I made a short cut on but never tried mounting one this way. Any pros or cons!

Though I like doing them that way. I've sewn up several just so I could do it that way. I set the mannikin on the floor and just drop the tanned tube over the form. Works great.
no problem on the y cut. Even prefer them with a Y cut. Did elk, caribou and muskox with Y cuts.
