Was searching the archives this morning to find out how to clean an elk and a moose head that were smoke damaged in a recent house fire.1 post said use lots of Windex (ammonia), the other said use brake drum cleaner. Can anyone verify they work or has someone found anything else that works.

Vinigar and water worked for me.Had about 80 racks that were as black as the ace of spades and it cleaned them very well. Also had some help from a few friends.
