I need to clean a skull cap from a moose rack to prepare it for mounting. What is the best way to clean it and is there any preservative I should use on the rack to maintain the original color? Is there anything that should be added to the skull plate to prevent any rotting? How do I preserve the piece of hide that was on top of the skull plate so I can re-attach it to the skull plate.
