Are the new Van Dykes caribou forms "Doug Roffers Tundra Series Caribo" the right size for Quebec / Labrador caribou? The ad in the new VD catalogue say that they are based on the Mulchatna herd caribou of Alaska.

you can use it. I'm not an expert on caribou species but they all have the same basic anatomy, facial features, body lines, etc. The line of forms in question seem to be smaller in the neck size as compared to standard caribou forms on the page before in the catalog in question. Its just the sculptures artistic view of a line of caribou for a catalog.
I purchased one of the new Doug Roffers caribou back in the spring. I mounted it this June and I had a Quebec cape. I had a bit if a problem with the neck muscles being too built up on the mannikin just behind the ears. After sanding them down the cape went on like warm butter on toast. I was very pleased with the form and should I have to do another caribou, that is the form I will choose. It has nice detail on the face and looks great mounted. Good luck!
I find the Roffer series to fit Quebec caribou better than all others . Use them exclusively.
