degreaser dilemma (after searching...)

You guys gave me such good advice on my bugs I thought I'd ask another question. I searched through degreasers on the archives and it looks like people use everything from simple green, dawn, downy fabric softener, terpentine, gasoline, to commercial degreasers or super solvents. It was hard to tell which recommendation to follow. I searched ritel's online catalogue, but it was hard to know which degreaser was for me to tell which product was for skulls and not fur. Would I be better off just using something like terpentine? What have you found (without boiling)that works well, is inexpensive, and easy to use?

We sell our degreaser Super Solvent (Catalog #SS-618) to a lot of museums for degreasing purposes. Mainly for bones and skulls. Its easy to use - and it only requires a 30 minute soak. Tanneries love it for degreasing Black Bears! You add 2 fluid ounces to every 1 gallon of water needed.

Thanks again.

Thanks again for the great info, especially for including the catalogue number. I'll order some now that I know which to get for skulls.

Super Solvent Rocks.

Rittels Super Solvent has worked the best of anything I've tried. Another plus for it is you don't have to worry about "burning" up a hide by quantity or time soaked.
