Safetee Acid~? On Temperature

Ok we all know that Safetee acid kills most bacteria.Now my question is if I have 90 degree water for getting my salt disolved am I ok? We all also know at the same time that high temps create bacteria so with the fact that SAFETEE ACID killing bacteria.where do we stand? Thank you all.Larry

It's the PH!

When you have a solution with its PH in the range of 0.0-2.0 - Bacteria cannot live. Regardless of the solution's temperature. Obviously, because Saftee Acid operates best in that range (below a 2.0 PH) - it therefore kills bacteria.

But - that said, there are also other acids that also operate in that range too! Oxalic Acid and Sulphuric Acid also work best below a 2.0 PH. And yes - bacteria will not be present. Using a Bacteriacide in any of these pickles is simply a waste of good money!
