I am about to send buffalo capes to tannery,i like wet tan for my deer and elk.Could anyone tell me if i can go with a wet tan on Buffalo ?If not why.?.Thanks

I'd go with a dry. The wet cape is gonna be pretty heavy to work with. With a dry, lay it hair down on the floor and just we the skin side. Just my .02

You get more stretch out of it. And you'll need it since bovines are not very stretchable to begin with.
Just tell the tannery to extract the cape before shipping it back to you. I had two muskox capes done this way and one was very long cut for a pedestal. Worked out excellent.
If you are shipping the capes across the country to be tanned then the weight might be a factor in the shipping cost. I have mine wet tanned and they really don't weigh that much, if the tanner has shaved them down the way they should be done.
