ram horns

I have a large wooly ram to mount, looking for a good way to remove horn from skull so I can clean them, got a good 1 1/2 curl. would be grateful for any ideas Thanks

I put my sheep and buffalo skulls in a black plastic bag for a couple of weeks and then the outer shell of the horn slips off and I am then able to clean the skull and later re-attach the horns.

You could submerge them in water for a few weeks, using a plastic container. They should simply drop off the cores once removed from the water, if not, wrap the horn with a rag and put an oil filter wrench to it. Works like a charm.
