Should the lip skin show on the bottom side of upper lip if should it be painted or should I tuck it all the way in and bring the hair line up tight to the lip slot. thanks

Yes, I has to be painted. Along the sides it can be tucked to the hair line or just shy, this can be helped during grooming.
